Dear people,
Today I came across the message that one of the few remaining pilots of the Dutch D.21 has passed away.
Henk Sitter, at the time of the German invasion in the Netherlands, May 1940, passed away on September 17, 2014. He reached the age of 97.
Henk Sitter was one of the last pilots still alive who has flown on the D.21. The pilots who have fought in May 1940 are being called 'Meivliegers', and Henk Sitter was one of the last.
Our thoughts are with his family.
My D.21 is devoted to all these young, brave men who fought for the freedom of our country.
Package release won't be long from now.
